(Bridgehampton, NY; March 22, 2023) – The Ellen Hermanson Foundation will hold its Spring Warm-Up Dance Party on April 22 from 6:30 PM to 10 PM at the Bridgehampton Community House, located at 2368 Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton, NY, 11932. The benefit will kick off the 28th Annual Ellen’s Run and raise funds to ensure access to breast health care and empower people with cancer in the Hamptons community.

The Spring Warm-Up Dance Party will celebrate Angela LaGreca, an Emmy Award-winning producer, storyteller and survivor; Eliot Rodman Smith, an Ellen’s Run icon and top community supporter; and The Shocking Pinks, Ellen’s Run’s number-one fundraising team for the past three years. The Shocking Pinks include Captain Sheryl Heather and team members Jeannie Sullivan-Curran, Maureen Drew, Erin Finley, Claudia Ferrara, and Dottie Macaluso. Andrina Wekontash Smith – a beloved Shinnecock storyteller, comic and activist – is the emcee and auctioneer for the night's live and silent auction. DJ Double S Productions will provide dance music, alongside a delicious spread from Sydney’s Gourmet, an array of signature drinks, and more.

“This party is so much fun, and what a great way to kick off the Ellen’s Run fundraising season. We are excited about this event, because we love when the East End community comes together. They amaze us with their generosity and endless support,” said Julie Ratner, co-founder and president of The Ellen Hermanson Foundation.

The Ellen Hermanson Foundation is grateful for the event sponsors, including Julie Ratner, Sydney’s “Taylor” Made Cuisine, M&T Bank, The Melissa Cohn Group, Edward Jones Investments, Bridgehampton Half-Marathon, Bellissima, East End Mixology, Channing Daughters, Montaukila, Tanteo, Cavaniola’s Gourmet, Topiaire Flower Shop, Autumn Chirlin and Lynne Chirlin, Dan’s Papers, The Express News Group, James Lane, and WLNG.

In 2022, The Ellen Hermanson Foundation granted $360,000 in support of breast health care to the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and community organizations including The Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center, OLA of Eastern Long Island, the Shinnecock Health Center, and The Retreat.

About The Ellen Hermanson Foundation

The Ellen Hermanson Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to ensuring access to state-of-the art breast health care and to empowering people affected by cancer. Over the course of 28 years, The Ellen Hermanson Foundation has changed the medical landscape of the East End of Long Island, where breast cancer diagnosis and mortality rates are among the highest in New York state. With a deep commitment to the community, the Foundation gives back by funding state-of-the-art medical equipment and breast cancer screenings at The Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and locations in Hampton Bays and East Hampton, where over 12,000 screenings were performed in 2019, and through Ellen’s Well, a free psycho-social services program for breast cancer survivors. No one is turned away from the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center for lack of insurance or inability to pay. Proceeds also benefit people in our community by funding programs that offer access to breast health care in partnership with The Southampton Hospital Foundation, Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreation Center, OLA of Eastern Long Island, The Retreat, and The Pink Shawl Project, providing screenings and education at the Shinnecock Health Clinic.
