Ellen Hermanson Foundation Denim and Diamonds Gala

The Ellen Hermanson Foundation held its “Denim and Diamonds” winter gala and fundraiser at 230 elm in Southampton. This year’s motto was “Give Breast Cancer the Boot,” with a Western-themed evening of food, fun and dancing to themusic of DJ Double S. Volunteers from many of the Hamptons real estate companies donated their time and money to help this worthy cause.

The Ellen Hermanson Foundation Celebrates 20 Years During Veinte!

The Ellen Hermanson Foundation is celebrating its 20th anniversary during Veinte!, a salsa party hosted by Steven Klein at his Westkill Farm in Bridgehampton. Taking place on Saturday, June 20th from 6:30 till 10 p.m., the evening will feature the Latin sounds of Tito Puente, Jr. and his 10 piece band, who will dazzle guests as they enjoy a buffet dinner provided by caterer Peter Ambrose and the open bar.

The Inspiring Story Behind the Ellen Hermanson Foundation

Since 1996 the Foundation has changed the medical landscape of the East End. Through strategic grants, there is now The Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at Southampton Hospital—the only facility of its kind on the South Fork—and Ellen’s Well, a program providing free psychosocial support to breast cancer survivors and their families. To continue to fund our work, we will sponsor this month’s Summer Solstice honoring Robert Chaloner, president and CEO of Southampton Hospital, and philanthropist Jean Shafiroff as well as the annual Ellen’s Run on Sunday, August 17, at Southampton Hospital.
